A big shout out to the senior players and families who came along to the U16 Mixed Shield & U16 Girls Shield grand finals tonight. With one silver (girls) and a gold (boys) it was a great night for Waverley but more than the result it was a great night because of the sincere connection across ages … when the boys won their game they did not sing the team song in the traditional closed circle, no they went to the fence line to face the senior playing group members and sang to them, loud & proud to be a part of our great club. Thanks to all who supported the two U16 Shield teams, tonight and all season… the parents, the volunteers, the senior players, the families…
